Joseph Ramirez grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, cutting hair for his community, and came to Hollywood with one goal: to become a stylist whose work makes an impact. Years of putting his time and energy into the craft took him from neighborhood barbering to editorial glam for models, with work at fashion weeks in Los Angeles, New York and Miami. Second Nature is the studio he built around that standard.

Joseph met Jasmine J. at his first shop. Working side by side, they found their morals and values in the profession lined up, and they became best friends. Since then they've worked photoshoots, video sets and private events together, helping each other any way they can. Joseph met Geovanny at the shop where they worked together after the pandemic. A good friendship became a great partnership, and Geovanny helped spark the idea of opening a place of their own. Today Second Nature is a team working with Joseph inside Salon Republic, Suite 49, on Sunset Blvd: cuts, color, barbering, styling and on-set work, thriving together.
